Jane Slalom Pro Formula

Slalom Pro Formula from Jane

“It has some good features and ploughs through all terrain, but bits of it have been unreliable and it was pricey – over £1,000 by the time you added all the accessories”

First impressions: We bought a Jane Slalom Pro Formula which came with carrycot, car seat, pushchair and then all of the accessories (we got car and pushchair footmuffs, car seat and pushchair rain covers, bag parasol, and isofix base) but I honestly wouldn’t buy it again.

What’s good about it: It has some good features and ploughs through all terrain, but bits of it have been unreliable and it was pricey – over £1,000 by the time you added all the accessories.

The downside… The hood ripped after a month of use – but to be fair Jane replaced it straight away. There were studs missing from the pushchair, which again Jane replaced with no problem, but at that price I don’t expect to be replacing items which are either new or hardly used.

We did away with the car seat within four months as Jasmine was squashed into it and cried every car journey 😦 We then opted for a maxi cosi cabrio (which in my opinion is the best car seat ever!). No other car seats are compatible with the Jane chassis so we bought a maxi cosi mila stoller, which is compatible, for convenience.

The front wheel of the Jane Slalom Pro Formula regularly wobbles if you catch the pavement wrong, and it did this especially when Jasmine was first in the pushchair as it was rear-heavy. The parasol was also a waste of time, we opted for a shade-a-babe in the end which has been a godsend.

To sum it up: Not a system I’d recommend.
